Your fantasy football season is in make or break territory. Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 6 will guide you to make the correct decisions. We now have enough data points to breakdown every team. We need to stay Bayesian and adjust or prior predictions. There is tremendous variance in football every week, no matter how much data we gather there are too many moving parts to be as confident in our predictions in football as we are when analyzing other sports.

Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings
When examining these fantasy football weekly rankings, take into consideration that we are really only looking at positional ranks, not flex or overall rankings. When it comes to who you start in the flex a lot will depend on your specific league rules and roster construction. If players are ranked within 3 spots of each other the difference between them is negligible, they are expected to score the same amount of points, in those cases go with your gut, flip a coin, or join our Discord Channel.
Quarterback

Bucs left tackle Tristan Wirfs on the Seahawks fan chirping at Baker Mayfield: “He didn’t have anything. Like his material was f—-ing sh—. Pardon my language but it was brutal. Like if you’re gonna be a heckler, you gotta step your game up. And Bake just kinda let him know that.” @jennalaine.bsky.social

Alvin Kamara when asked what it'd take to get HC Kellen Moore to loosen up during postgame celebrations, via Rod Walker: "I might have to take Kellen to Atlanta. Take him to the club or something." @fantasynflnews.bsky.social

Matchup to watch: Jonathan Taylor vs. Cardinals run defense
Jonathan Taylor currently leads the NFL in rushing yards (478), yards after contact (346), tied for second in missed tackles forced (22) and fourth in runs of 10 yards or more (11). The Cardinals are surprisingly second in EPA per rush allowed and fourth in rushing success rate permitted.
The Process
My usual process is to only take data from the previous six weeks, I truly believe anything older than that holds little relevance unless there is a player returning from injury or some reason to discount the newer information. In Week 2 we have very little information we can be confident in. The last six weeks of the previous season can give some indication, and the preseason could provide a glimpse of what’s to come or it could be a mirage.
Wide Receiver

Amon-Ra St. Brown on wrist injury: "I'm feeling good. It's been bugging me for a little. ... Nothing to worry about."

Matchup to watch: Jets WR Garrett Wilson vs. Broncos CB Pat Surtain II
Garrett Wilson continues to be one of the more efficient wide receivers in the NFL. Wilson is in the top 20 for yards per route run (2.02), and is on a run of three straight games with a touchdown and 70 or more receiving yards. He’s taking on one of the best cornerbacks in the game in Pat Surtain II. We’ve not seen the best of Surtain in 2025; but at his best, he’s an All-Pro cornerback.
Tight End

Darren Waller on workload expectations for third game with Dolphins:"It'll be another jump (in snaps). First game, 1 o'clock in the heat in Miami. It'll be a grind, but I think I'm definitely capable of taking a jump."

News or Hype?
The best way to start our Week 6 approach is to look at implied team totals based on Vegas odds and adjust from there. We need to pay attention to DFS articles and individual player prop-bets (over/under) to get a good idea of how to project median outcomes. With five weeks of data we can begin to examine the individual matchups some players may have, but we can't overreact to that data. There are so many changes from week-to-week in the NFL the best we can do is project a range of outcomes. Picking the outliers is what wins championships.
Thursday, Night Football - Week 6
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants 8:15pm ET
Philadelphia had its first slip-up of the year, losing 21-17 to the Denver Broncos in Week 5. They will likely be fired up for this division rivalry and looking to stomp the floundering NY Giants.
The Eagles face a Giants’ run defense, allowing the seventh-most adjusted YBC/Att, meaning it might be a favorable matchup for Saquon Barkley. Barkley has been struggling to generate yards before and after contact per attempt while being stuffed in 53% of his rush attempts. For context, Barkley averaged 2.26 yards before contact and 3.55 yards after contact per attempt in 2024. (https://corbinyoung.substack.com/p/week-6-thursday-night-matchup-phi )
The Giants’ offensive line struggles to create open lanes for their running backs, ranking 27th in adjusted YBC/Att. Meanwhile, they face the Eagles’ defensive line that allows the 18th-fewest adjusted YBC/Att. (https://corbinyoung.substack.com/p/week-6-thursday-night-matchup-phi)
We got that game wrong!!!
