Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings
When examining these fantasy football weekly rankings, take into consideration that we are really only looking at positional ranks, not flex or overall rankings. When it comes to who you start in the flex a lot will depend on your specific league rules and roster construction. If players are ranked within 3 spots of each other the difference between them is negligible, they are expected to score the same amount of points, in those cases go with your gut, flip a coin, or join our Discord Channel.
Quarterback

The MRI on Jayden Daniels' left arm showed no fractures or ligament damage. Washington is still gathering info about the injury, but the fact that Daniels is just dealing with a dislocation could mean a shorter recovery window. HC Dan Quinn said there is currently "no timetable" on Daniels' return.
Brock Purdy (toe) will be limited in practice Wednesday.
Kyler Murray (foot) placed on IR, he will miss at least 4 games. Jacoby Brissett is in line to make at least more four starts while Kyler Murray (foot) is on injured reserve.
Davis Mills is slated to start Sunday's game against the Jaguars after Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Wednesday that C.J. Stroud (concussion) "will be out," Adam Schefter reports.
Running Back

Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder) still not practicing Thursday.
Quinshon Judkins (shoulder) is NOT listed on the injury report for Week 10. Judkins is expected to be a big part of the offense in Week 10 against the Jets, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
D'Andre Swift (groin) returned to practice Wednesday and said afterward that he'll play this Sunday against the Giants, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Swift saw Kyle Monangai run for 175 yards last week and saw the Giants' 32nd ranked DVOA run defense on the schedule this week and decided his groin feels better now.
Alvin Kamara (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Katherine Terrell reports.
Aaron Jones (shoulder/toe) didn't practice Wednesday.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt (tooth) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.
Nick Chubb was held out of Wednesday's practice due to a foot injury, he returned to practice Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that Trey Benson (knee) is "doing well" but isn't ready to practice, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Ollie Gordon (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The Process
My usual process is to only take data from the previous six weeks, I truly believe anything older than that holds little relevance unless there is a player returning from injury or some reason to discount the newer information. In Week 2 we have very little information we can be confident in. The last six weeks of the previous season can give some indication, and the preseason could provide a glimpse of what’s to come or it could be a mirage.
Wide Receiver

Coach Sean McVay said that imaging on Puka Nacua's ribs was returned negative, and while the wide receiver will be limited at Wednesday's practice, he should be able to play Sunday at San Francisco, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) wasn't present for Thursday's practice, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Garrett Wilson (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Ricky Pearsall (knee) isn't practicing Wednesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Chris Godwin (fibula) was NOT seen participating in practice again on Thursday.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Dontayvion Wicks (calf) will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Cooper Kupp (heel, hamstring) listed as DNP in practice Wednesday.
Luther Burden III (concussion protocol) fully practices Wednesday.
Marvin Mims (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Las Vegas.
Dyami Brown (concussion) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Devaughn Vele will have "a healthy role" and will be "very involved" rest of the season, per @fantasynflnews.bsky.social.
Cedric Tillman (hamstring) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Tight End

David Njoku confessed that he was worried about his future with the Cleveland Browns leading up to the trade deadline. Now that it's behind him, he never wants to leave, per @spencito.bsky.social.

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Wednesday he "does not" expect Ka'imi Fairbairn (quadriceps) to be available for Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Defense/Special Teams

Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, suffered a pec strain in the win over the Cowboys, per @rapsheet.bsky.social and @tompelissero.bsky.social. He’s considered week-to-week and he could land on IR.
News or Hype?
The best way to start our Week 8 approach is to look at implied team totals based on Vegas odds and adjust from there. We need to pay attention to DFS articles and individual player prop-bets (over/under) to get a good idea of how to project median outcomes. With six weeks of data we can begin to examine the individual matchups some players may have, but we can't overreact to that data. There are so many changes from week-to-week in the NFL the best we can do is project a range of outcomes. Picking the outliers is what wins championships.
