Fantasy Football Rankings - Week 5, 2026
Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 5 are likely to start to look similar between most Fantasy Football sites. We now have four weeks of data for projections, bye weeks are starting and injuries are narrowing the player pool. There is tremendous variance in football every week, we just don’t have enough relevant, applicable data to go from yet. We can use stats from the first few weeks, but every team goes through changes week-to-week, some in very significant ways, on both offense and defense.

Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings
When examining these fantasy football weekly rankings, take into consideration that I am really only looking at positional ranks, not flex or overall rankings. When it comes to who you start in the flex a lot will depend on your specific league rules and roster construction. If players are ranked within 3 spots of each other the difference between them is negligible, they are expected to score the same amount of points, in those cases go with your gut, flip a coin, or join our Discord Channel.
Quarterback
Lamar Jackson appears "unlikely" to play Sunday against the Falcons due to a "rarer type of ankle sprain" that could put him at risk of missing multiple games, Ian Rapoport reports.
The ankle injury sidelined Jackson for the entire second half of last Sunday's 24-18 win over the Titans, resulting in backup Tyler Huntley directing the offense for the final two quarters. Huntley now appears to be trending toward the Week 5 start while Jackson recovers from the ankle issue, which Rapoport suggests is an "unconventional" injury that's not necessarily a low- or high-ankle sprain.
Mike Garafolo reports Jayden Daniels (elbow) is “on track” to start for the Commanders in Washington’s Week 5 game against the Giants. Washington will be trying to keep their season on the tracks after falling to 1-3 against the Colts while having to go to third-stringer Athan Kaliakmanis.

Running Back
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is considered “week-to-week.” Barkley departed the team’s Week 4 loss to the Rams in the second quarter and did not return, with Ian Rapoport relaying that the team views him as “week-to-week,” for the time being. Rapoport added that the team does not view the injury as a long-term issue. Regardless, Barkley appears set to miss multiple games with the soft tissue injury, leaving the team paper thin at running back after backup Tank Bigsby inured a core muscle that requires surgery.
